Important Note: Following the Trans-Tasman travel bubble announcement, Netball Australia has paused ticket sales for this October’s Constellation Cup series between Origin Australian Diamonds and New Zealand Silver Ferns in Brisbane and Cairns. Stay tuned for further updates on ticket sales.
A competition that’s been part of netball’s history since 20 August 1938. A longstanding and intense rivalry that spans generations with a history of close margins and proud rivalries. For many, there is no bigger spectacle in the sport than when the Origin Australian Diamonds play the New Zealand Silver Ferns.
Every year, since 2012, this rivalry has culminated in the Constellation Cup – a four-game series between the two most storied teams in the sport.
Our fans have vibrant memories of these games, which they hold close to their hearts. Excitement, amazement, noise, joy, nail-biting anxiety, fear and fairy-tale finishes.
When these two sides met in March this year in New Zealand, the Silver Ferns reclaimed the Constellation Cup for the first time in eight years. This year, the Diamonds will play the role of hunter, when they take on their oldest rivals in Brisbane and Cairns before the series concludes in New Zealand.
*Ticket purchasers should note that final team selection is subject to change for reasons including player availability and injury.
